Michael M. McCauley is a full-time senior consultant with Illinois BIS specializing in quality systems, tools, and methodologies with over 30 years of industry experience.
Having established his leadership skills in various executive management roles, Michael successfully led and participated on regional and global quality improvement initiatives - including major cost of quality reduction programs and revising the global advanced product quality planning process. While holding a Director of Quality position for global controls manufacturer, Michael successfully re-implemented an entire quality organization from the ground up. This resulted in a significant reduction in quality costs, a surge in first pass yield, and increased customer satisfaction levels which supported future business revenues.
Michael has a passion for embedding himself into the teams of our clients – creating a positive atmosphere that supports team member and client objectives – via an engaged learning environment.

Michael is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 1992; an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer since 1996; IRCA/RAB Certified Lead Assessor (1995); Exemplar Global Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 (QM, AU, TL designations); and has recently completed a Global Executive Development Program (high-potential).
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago, IL) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Keller Graduate School of Executive Management (Chicago, IL).
